The Advocates for Global Peace Forum has continued to make valuable inputs in educating the young ones , thorough our yearly quiz competitions, character education programs which has reached over 1000 schools in Nigeria
Many parents are concerned about the disruption of their child’s education, and distance learning assisted by technology has been adopted as a temporary solution to this problem. However, remote learning has also highlighted the impact of the digital divide on the less previledged.
We need to embrace, support and even scale up initiatives that pursue the improvement of literacy skills for children and youth through the available technological means.
Ike Uke Foundation’s 2021 edition of annual quiz competition which was aimed at promoting and rewarding academic excellence among students, took place on Saturday 27th March 2021 at Idemili North Local Government Area Headquarters Ogidi, Anambra State and brought together all the notable secondary schools across the local government.
The quize competition which was supervised by the Anambra State Ministry Of Women Affairs And Child Development Commission and the State Directorate, National Orientation Agency, Awka was in conjunction with the Anambra State post Primary School Service Commission and Monitored by Advocates For Global Peace Forum International.
The exercise also featured cash prizes to the best performing students and schools, first runner up and second runner up and as well to all the students that participated in the excercise.
Advocates for Global Peace Forum International Ambassador Victor Okolo,( Ike Uke) who is the sponsor of the program have continued to demonstrate in words and character the ideal nature of a Peace Ambassador, helping in the Educational, Economic, Social and cultural development of his community and the human society at large
