Providing Free Medical Care To Traders in Lagos

Despite Nigerian’s strategic position in Africa, the country’s health care systems have continued to suffer greatly. Health facilities (health centers, personnel, and medical equipment) are inadequate, especially in rural areas.

While various reforms have been put forward by the Nigerian government to address the wide-ranging issues in the health care system, they are yet to be implemented at the state and local government area levels.

The Nation’s health care system remains weak as evidenced by lack of coordination, fragmentation of services, dearth of resources, including drug and supplies, inadequate and decaying infrastructure, inequity in resource distribution, and access to care, and very deplorable quality of care.

Advocates For Global Peace Forum International as one of the strongest United Nations Support group have continued to extend free medical access to many communities across the world which are most unlikely to use preventive services due to poverty and lack of basic health care provisions.

We have continued to supplement the efforts of governments in extending the reach of health care to many communities through activities such as health education, case management, basic health check-ups, and facilitating access to services.

On Friday, September 2021, Our medical team was at the Association Of progressive traders(APT) Trade-fair complex, Lagos State, to provide the traders and the market Union with free medical check-ups and treatments as we have done in so many communities across the Nation.

We thank the APT Market Executives, especially our Ambassador Ezechukwu Casmir Obinna who was also there to provide our medical team with moral support, and our profound gratitude to Ambassador Uchenna Ngonadi (C.E.O of Hugo drugs) for supporting us with medications for this program.
